Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos
The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is one of the most effective combos that I've ever tested. Its base station comes with an enormous dustbin and water tank, and its dual rubber brushes are less susceptible to hair tangles than single bristles.
Its mopping efficiency is impressive and its AI mapping excels in getting around obstacles. It can also pause the cleaning process, and then resume from where it began.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo J9+ is a robot mop that doubles as a vacuum cleaner that is among the most advanced available. It comes with an elegant, self-emptying Clean Base that can handle up to two full mopping cycles and is designed to resemble a tiny table. It's also the only robotic mop we've tested with a water reservoir on board to automatically wash and refill the cleaning pads after each vacuuming and mopping cycle.
The mopping arm is positioned on top of the unit. It lowers when it spots hard surfaces and it begins to scrub. It is able to move slowly and with care over surfaces to make sure it doesn't accidentally splash wet mud or spills across carpeted areas. It does a great job of keeping itself away from furniture, cords and other obstacles.
The iRobot Home App is smarter than other robot vacuums. It lets you alter the settings of your cleaner, prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, schedule cleaning time and much more. The app also provides comprehensive maps of your home, seasonal recommendations and custom cleaning routines and intuitive smart-home integrations.
This robot vac/mop uses iRobot’s Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to recognize objects such as sofas, tables, and counters. It can also be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri to help you clean your home without hassle.
The Roomba J9+, unlike other vacuum and mopping robotics, creates an outline of your home 7 times faster than the previous models. It also labels each area by floor type, to ensure that it can be aware of the area you want to vacuum or mop. It also has the Turbo Mode which boosts suction for difficult spots. And with iRobot's Dirt Detective it can be able to detect your cleaning habits and preferences to automatically adjust cleaning priorities and settings, like mop scrubbing movements, for the most soiled areas of your home.

The M12 offers several different cleaning options for mopping and vacuuming. Its intelligent design lets it map a room in less than six minutes and adjust its cleaning route accordingly. Its mopping technology is advanced and includes dual spinning pads with electronically controlled water and a "True Edge Adaptive Edge Mopping System" which helps ensure thorough cleaning of all edges of the floor.
In terms of navigation, the M12 makes use of LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors do a good job of detecting larger objects like HVAC vents and furniture. However, they struggle with smaller objects, like cables and small rags, which may cause the robot to miss certain spots.
The M12's built-in inclinometer enables it to recognize and navigate up and down stairs. It also has the ability to automatically return to its OMNI Station to wash and dry the mop brushes, and refill its water tank. If the batteries are depleted and the OMNI Station is empty, the OMNI Station can also clean itself and empty the trash bin when its batteries are empty.
3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra robot cleaner is the cutting edge of robotic cleaning. It packs a wealth of features into a compact package. It is a powerful mop and vacuum cleaner. It completed our 1,500 square foot test area in just over 101 minutes, but the battery ran out and it returned to its dock. Its mop automatically cleans itself between uses. This reduces maintenance costs while keeping its pads clean. Additionally, there is a dock sensor that senses the moment that the mop's pad gets dirty and triggers a wash cycle to keep it clean.

Like its predecessors, like its predecessors, the S8 MaxV Ultra features an intelligent system that can detect household objects like shoes and pet waste using the camera and LIDAR combo. It was a great performer in our evaluation of obstacle avoidance with just one minor glitch during my tests (it was stuck while unwinding a wool ball that was wrapped around its brush arm).
The S8 MaxV Ultra boasts a new 10,000pa worth of suction power, which is more than double its predecessor. This makes it a great option for homes with a lot of carpeting and varying types of flooring. The vacuum can be programmed to automatically increase the suction as it passes over dust or crumbs.

The only sounds are the occasional low hum from its motor, and short bursts of sucking during cleaning. Its navigation system, which uses a camera and 3D structured lights, as well as multiple lasers, and a 3D structured light to detect and avoid obstacles it is awe-inspiring. This assists in helping the X40 Ultra receive one of the top scores in our tests for obstacle avoidance.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro has been designed to be an efficient mop and vacuum combo that is also user-friendly. Its gunmetal-colored base station self-emptying and refills its own tank with clean water. It automatically emptying the dust bin into a smaller one, and washes and dries its own mop pad in between cleaning sessions. It is equipped with advanced features that let it switch between hard and carpet surfaces, and eliminate pet hair from carpets, and clean high-level thresholds in rooms.

It is able to maintain an unobtrusive appearance while providing excellent detection of objects. automated vacuum can be driven close to walls without crashing and avoiding steps, and it also raises its mop automatically when it drives over rugs and short-pile carpets. It was a bit shaky when it came across carpets with longer piles as well as there were a few large, thick messes with dried-on debris.
Like most robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box, and requires only a quick initial mapping run to get it used to your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can join or add rooms as needed. You can also design virtual boundaries such as no-mop zones, no-go zones, and no-go areas if you don't want the robot to get into certain items.
The S1 Pro is a great option for homes that have different types of flooring since it has the ability to mop and vacuum. However its dependence on an Eufy-branded cleaning system (which is included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that let you add your own solutions. Its ability to vacuum and mop makes it a good option for homes with both types of flooring but its dependence on a Eufy brand cleaning solution (which is included in the box) could make it less flexible than some other robots that allow you make your own cleaning solutions.
